Online discussions included everything from the pressure to follow the rule that “don’t wear the color the bride is wearing” to the defense that desis are exempt from the norm since it’s “not possible to outshine a desi bride” unless you’re specifically attempting to.
Even though the wedding is long gone, we still thought it was a worthwhile discussion to have. Is it possible to surpass a Desi bride?
