In addition to severe winds and thunderstorms predicted throughout the state, the Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has predicted heavy precipitation in the majority of the province’s districts.
A spokeswoman stated that the monsoon rain spell is expected to last until July 20.
Numerous important cities, including Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, and Rawalpindi, are expected to see significant rains. Reducing the immediate risk of floods, the PDMA has guaranteed that the water flow in Punjab’s rivers stays at a normal level.
All agencies involved have received instructions from PDMA Director General Irfan Ali Kathia to remain vigilant and ready to act quickly in the event of any emergencies brought on by the heavy rains.
Meanwhile, severe rains were accompanied by strong winds in a number of Sindhi cities, including Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, and Kotri.
\ The region was swept by cool breezes, and the weather became comfortable.
It was still quite scorching outside in Karachi today. The return of sea breezes, however, brought some relief and a small drop in temperature.
