BENGALURU: According to two travel agencies, Indians are canceling vacations at well-known resorts in Turkiye and Azerbaijan since the nations backed Pakistan in its recent war with New Delhi.
Following a tragic attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) last month that New Delhi claimed was supported by Islamabad without providing any proof, ties between India and Pakistan fell precipitously.
When India attacked what it claimed were “terrorist camps” in Pakistan last week, fierce fighting broke out, despite Pakistan’s denial of involvement and demand for an impartial and credible investigation into the attack. On Saturday, they reached a ceasefire agreement that has mostly held.
Following India’s strikes, Turkiye and Azerbaijan, two of India’s most popular low-cost vacation spots, released statements supporting Islamabad.
