The wealthy owner of X has been at odds with Sir Keir Starmer about riots in the UK, with concerns that online disinformation is fueling the turmoil.
Musk’s latest censure involved reposting a video that appeared to show police officers detaining a man for making inappropriate comments on Facebook.
“Arrested for making comments on Facebook!,” Musk posted on X.
“Is this Britain or the Soviet Union?” Is this accurate, @Community Notes?”

In the footage, an officer informs a man that he is being arrested on suspicion of improper use of an electronic communications network.
This includes sending a message that is “grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene, or menacing character” and carries a potential six-month jail sentence or a fine.
It was in response to a video that appeared to show large numbers of masked people assembled outside a pub, with some waving the Palestinian flag.
