Iran declared on Monday that if the United States demands that Tehran stop its uranium enrichment operations, then no further nuclear discussions will take place.
In an attempt to reach an agreement on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program, Washington and Tehran had been in multiple rounds of negotiations. However, Israel’s surprise strikes on its regional adversary, which triggered a 12-day war, put a stop to the talks.
Although Tehran has stated that it will not give up its right to the peaceful use of nuclear power, both the US and Iran have indicated a desire to resume talks since the end of the conflict.
“Such discussions will not occur if they are contingent on halting enrichment.
