There is a rift among the members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter because of rumors circulating that a group opposing Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has been formed by both previous and present members of the national and provincial assemblies.
According to sources, the PTI’s disgruntled faction was upset over issues pertaining to governance, purported corruption, and CM Gandapur’s meddling in affairs pertaining to provincial departments.
They went on to say that the irate ministers also take issue with Gandapur’s unprecedented meddling in several government agencies.
PTI leader Atif Khan was not able to receive a provincial assembly ticket because Gandapur was in hiding when tickets for the general elections on February 8 were distributed, according to insiders who spoke with News.
