Telecom industry sources claim that the second trial of a new national security firewall has concluded successfully.
According to them, the firewall was put in place to address worries about national security, with a particular emphasis on stifling disinformation on social media and preventing access to contentious websites.
According to the sources, the installation was done on Internet service providers (ISPs) by limiting the services of social media apps. The ability to download audio and video from these apps has been temporarily disabled. According to the sources, internet and mobile service were also interrupted while the firewall was being installed.
They stated that within the following few days, social media services will resume as usual.
