Hammad Azhar, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a former federal minister, announced his resignation on Thursday as the party’s president of Central Punjab.
He announced the move via the social media network X, citing worries over decisions taken within the organization without his approval and restricted access to the party leadership.
The PTI leader made it clear that he didn’t negotiate anything in connection with his resignation or arrange a news conference.
He voiced his displeasure with the path the party’s Punjabi organization had taken, emphasizing how many choices were made more on the basis of lobbying than on merit. He also claimed that he was restricted in his movement and that he could not take the chance of traveling to Adiala.
