ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA), according to sources who spoke to the News on Monday, has decided to use hunting cats to trap the rats that are wreaking havoc in Parliament House. A budget of Rs. 1.2 million has been set aside for this purpose.
The cash was notably allocated because of the growing number of troublesome mammals in the structure, specifically the hunting cats—also referred to as rat-eaters—that need to be engaged.
Additionally, unique mesh traps will be put in place since, according to the sources, Parliament House’s expanding rat population is being caused by contaminated ceilings.
The insiders claimed that the rats had been causing damage to various Senate and National Assembly departments, and that they had also been chewing through paperwork in numerous parliamentary offices.
