Sher Afzal Khan Marwat, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has stated that he has always denounced the actions of Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hamid, the former head of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), who was recently arrested by the military on charges of abusing his authority and breaking the Army Act.
Speaking on News’ “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath” show on Monday, he declared, “As a lawyer, I cannot approve of Gen Faiz’s acts as spy chief such as victimizing political opponents, harassing them, lodging cases against them.”
Marwat made this statement in answer to a query about whether he still felt the same way about the former spy head that he did when he made that statement on the same program on February 15.
