Due to the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the Rawalpindi city administration has declared today, Monday, as a public holiday.
Additionally, Tehsil City, Tehsil Cantt, and Tehsil Saddar of the garrison town will mark the vacation, according to a notification released by the deputy commissioner’s office in Rawalpindi.
“I, Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, declare local holiday in Tehsil City, Tehsil Cantt and Tehsil Saddar of District Rawalpindi on 26-08-2024 (Monday) due to Chehlum Process,” the announcement adds.
Nonetheless, as per the announcement, establishments, divisions, and offices handling emergency and relief operations along with other related services would continue to function.
Due to the Chehlum of Sindh, the provincial administration has also declared Monday a vacation for all public and private schools in the state.
