Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered that those found guilty of major corruption allegations will not be eligible for the cash compensation for Public Works Department (PWD) employees who will be let go as a result of the institution’s dissolution.
On Sunday, the prime minister presided over a meeting to go over the legal details and last steps in the PWD’s dissolution.
Along with giving the officials instructions to prepare the final plan for handing over current PWD projects to the relevant ministries and provinces, PM Shehbaz also directed that all final recommendations regarding the topic of closure be submitted to the cabinet as soon as possible.
In addition, the premier mandated the execution of the age relaxation plan in order to rehire dependable employees who have worked for a short time.
