Designer of clothing Khadija Shah has been named by the PTI as the country’s strategic communications and outreach director for the Election Analysis and Management Cell (EAMC).
The announcement of Shah’s appointment was made on August 2 by Imran Khan’s party on the social networking site X.
The creator and inspiration of the well-known fashion company Élan, Khadija Shah, has had a turbulent few months. After being detained following the May 9 riots on suspicion of rioting and damage, she was eventually freed on bond in December 2023.
In an unexpected turn of events, Shah’s bailable warrants were revoked by an anti-terrorism court in April 2024, but new warrants were later issued in connection with another case involving the events of May 9.
