In May 2019, Steve Dymond, 63, was discovered deceased at his Portsmouth, Hampshire, home, seven days following his participation in the show.
He had been charged with cheating on his ex-fiancee Jane Callaghan, therefore he had taken a lie detector test on the TV show The Jeremy Kyle Show. After his passing, the program was never shown.
At Winchester Coroner’s Court, a comprehensive inquest has commenced, and on the first day, his farewell note to Ms. Callaghan was explained.
“I was never, ever unfaithful to you in all the time we were together,” Mr. Dymond wrote in a WhatsApp message. This will be the last time I say it.
In light of what they have done to me, I hope The Jeremy Kyle Show is now really delighted.
I never cheated on you; I did lie about my background, but not about being a cheater. They are in charge of what is happening right now, so maybe this boosts their numbers. I bet they keep this under wraps.”
On Tuesday, Ms. Callaghan and Carl Woolley, the son of Mr. Dymond, both testified.
According to his son’s witness statement, Mr. Dymond felt like he was “thrown under a bus.”.
