KARACHI: Scott Urbom, the US Consul General in Karachi, has stated that he wants to improve people-to-people and commercial relations between the US and Pakistan.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday during his visit to Mazar-e-Quaid, the mausoleum of Pakistan’s founder Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Karachi, Urbom stated, “I want to increase education and business opportunities.”
The statements were made by the highest diplomat from the United States upon his official installation as Washington’s consul general in the port city last month.

There is a long history of bilateral collaboration between the US and Pakistan in a number of areas, such as business, social uplift, and security.
Regarding the two nations’ bilateral relations, he stated that the United States of America backed Quaid-i-Azam’s dream of a united, democratic, and wealthy Pakistan.
