The people of Peshawar have been hit with yet another inflation bomb by the district administration, as the cost of milk and yogurt has risen to an all-time high.
Details indicate that the regulated price of Rs 180 per litre of milk has now increased to Rs 240 per litre. In the meantime, yogurt costs Rs 220 per kg, up Rs 30 from the previous price.
Better-quality yogurt now costs Rs260 per kg, up Rs70 from the previous price of Rs270 per kg.
The district administration’s performance is called into doubt since the shops determine the prices of food goods due to the non-implementation of the stated rates.
