ISLAMABAD Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister, has accepted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent offer to begin talks with the government, marking a significant political move.
Khan met with PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan at the Adiala jail on Monday after granting him permission to speak, according to reliable sources.
However, in order to guarantee significant results, the former premier has stated that he strongly prefers that these discussions take place away from the sight of media cameras.
According to PTI insiders, the party would now formally contact the government to continue the conversation. The party is arguing for a more discrete and targeted approach time since they believe previous attempts at negotiations failed under media scrutiny.
