According to Queensland police, on August 27, at around noon, the coward attacked the child at Hanlon Park in Stones Corner.
That’s when a man approached a family he didn’t know and doused the youngster in a burning substance before running away.
Following a contact to emergency services, the child was taken to a hospital with “serious burns,” according to a news release from Queensland police.
The department is conducting an investigation in collaboration with both domestic and foreign partner authorities.
His arrest has been warranted for “intending to cause grievous bodily harm,” according to Paul Dalton of Queensland Police.
In his decades-long job, Dalton said he has witnessed the “most cowardly” attack on a baby. Meanwhile, a GoFundMe page has been established by a family friend to aid with the infant’s recuperation.
