The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) power display in Islamabad on Sunday featured “inappropriate language,” which Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vehemently denounced on Monday night.
At a luncheon honoring lawmakers from different political parties, the prime minister made the following remarks.
The PTI, which Imran Khan formed, held a much-anticipated power show in Islamabad the day before that featured ferocious speeches. The chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa allegedly used derogatory language against his opponents during the gathering. Additionally, he made disparaging statements about his counterpart from Punjab.
At the highly anticipated power show on Sunday, the provincial chief executive not only attacked his rivals but also journalists, labeling them “sellouts and brokers” without providing any supporting documentation.
The prime minister emphasized the need of maintaining political stability and policy continuit.
