In addition to being charged with two counts of premeditated murder, one act of attempted murder, and possession of an unlicensed firearm, farm owner Zachariah Johannes Olivier, 60, supervisor Adrian Rudolph de Wet, 19, and worker William Musora, 45, are also facing charges.
Musora, a citizen of Zimbabwe, is additionally accused of entering South Africa without authorization.
In August, Locadia Ndlovu and Maria Makgatho, two female victims, were shot and killed on Olivier’s farm in the northern province of Limpopo, purportedly for trespassing.
Mabutho, the spouse of Ms. Ndlovu, was there when he told South African media outlet Newzroom Afrika that he had also been shot on the farm.
He apparently made himself to a nearby road where he could seek assistance, crawled to a police station, and an ambulance was called.
According to the South African news website IOL, Mr. Ndlovu told police what had happened before authorities went to the farm but were unable to locate the women.
But a few days later, police allegedly discovered the dead in a pigsty on the farm.
The pigs mauled Ms. Makgatho, 47, and Ms. Ndlovu, 34, according to police reports, and both sustained several gunshot wounds to their bodies.
