Senator Irfan Siddiqui, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), voiced his extreme condemnation of the recent incidents within Parliament.
Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, the Senate Chairman, urged elevating the status and dignity of the legislative branch during a recent session, stressing that such instances cannot be disregarded or ignored.
During his speech, the Senator brought up his own experiences from the previous PTI-led administration, including how he was hauled from his home at that time.
“These instances occurred even though the constitution was in effect at the time. Such measures have no negative impact on Parliament or the administration, the speaker said.
He emphasized that the Speaker of the National Assembly had authorized an ongoing investigation into the recent occurrence, which he accepted.
