In advance of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) meeting in New York, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif left Lahore for the United States via London.
On September 23, the prime minister is expected to board a plane for New York following a one-night layover in London. One of the main attractions of this trip will be his attendance at the UNGA, where he will likely speak on a number of international topics.
The PM will not be traveling to New York with Foreign Secretary Amina Baloch because of her obligations for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting. Ishaq Dar, the foreign minister and deputy prime minister, has also been left out of the delegation for this journey.
