In the interbank market, the US dollar has lost 34 paisas in value in relation to the Pakistani rupee, continuing its downward trend. Pakistan Stock Exchange () has had a notable upswing, with the 100 Index rising by 600 points to trade at 82,800 points.
This comes after the index had a great showing the day before, closing at 82,247, up 764 points.
The price of the dollar dropped to Rs277 and 50 paisas on the fourth day of the business week, according to the State Bank of Pakistan.
The stock market had closed higher the day before as well, with the 100 Index rising 764 points to settle at 82,247 points.
This occurs following a 5 paise increase in the value of the dollar on Wednesday.
