The Assembly Secretariat has released a statement stating that the meeting will reconvene at 3 PM today, having been postponed until October 14.
It is significant that there were violent altercations between members of the opposition and government during yesterday’s session. The assembly members got into a physical altercation as a result of the opposition members’ frustration at not being given the opportunity to speak.
PTI politician Iqbal Wazir and party member Naik Wazir got into a fight. There was a great deal of chaos in the assembly as the two lawmakers and their supporters engaged in combat.
The Speaker called a 15-minute break due to the turmoil and then delayed the meeting till Monday, October 14, at 3 PM.
