Foreign diplomats attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference in Islamabad have been urged by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to keep their movements to a minimum, as reported by News.
The ministry notified diplomats by letter that the SCO meeting will be held in Islamabad from October 15–16.
The letter asked foreign ambassadors to follow the traffic plan set by the traffic police during the summit and to limit their movements to the diplomatic enclave and red zone.
Under the direction of Federal Minister of Interior Mohsin Naqvi, a meeting on Wednesday authorized a thorough security plan for the forthcoming SCO summit.
In order to provide the utmost level of security, Naqvi said that more members of the Pakistan Army, Rangers, FC, and Punjab police will be sent in.
