The show-cause warning was sent to batter Fakhar Zaman by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday in response to his public statement endorsing Babar Azam.
Details indicate that the PCB requested Zaman’s answer to his social media post until October 22.
Zaman is a player with a centrally contracted status, as the PCB had noted.
“It is concerning to hear suggestions about dropping Babar Azam,” Zaman wrote earlier on social media. “During Virat Kohli’s difficult period from 2020 to 2023, when he averaged 19.33, 28.21, and 26.50, respectively, India did not bench him.”
