Top officials from the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) have been to the Red Zone in Islamabad to examine and assess the power supply preparations in light of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference in 2024.
Iesco Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Naeem Jan, General Manager of Operations Aslam Khan, and Superintending Engineer Shahzad Ahmed Jalil visited the Red Zone in Islamabad to “inspect and review the power supply arrangements,” according to a statement released today.
Senior authorities at the site were briefed by SDO Red Zone Hafiz Ali Ashraf and Executive Engineer Altaf Khokhar during the visit.
“Given the event’s international significance and high-profile nature, the visit aimed to ensure that all necessary power infrastructure and systems are in place to guarantee uninterrupted electricity supply during the event,” the statement read.
