LAHORE: A day after numerous people were hurt in violent altercations between demonstrators and law enforcement, students from a private college in Lahore staged their second day of protests on Tuesday against the alleged rape of a girl.
Following the widespread dissemination of allegations of a female student’s alleged rape on social media, a group of students assembled outside a private college on Monday in protest.
After the protests descended into violence, at least 28 people—four of them police officers—were hurt. Subsequently, the demonstration was postponed, and it was planned to have another one today.
