The second day of play in the second Test match between England and Pakistan ended on Wednesday at the Multan Cricket Stadium with England finishing at 239/6 after four English wickets fell in a few overs, including the strong opener Ben Duckett. Pakistan rallied back in the match.
Sajid Khan of Pakistan restored his team’s momentum in the match by taking the crucial wickets of Joe Root, Harry Brook, and centurion Duckett. He’d sacked Ollie Pope earlier.
With Duckett’s explosive century guiding England’s strong response to Pakistan’s 366 in the first innings, the visiting team was essentially controlling the match from the top.
Duckett scored his fourth century in a Test match against India on 120 balls, which was his slowest century ever.
