The decision of the selection committee to bench Babar for the second and third Test matches against England was criticized by Zaman.

Zaman noted in his message on the social media platform X (previously Twitter) that Virat Kohli’s bad performance from 2020 to 2023 did not cause India to drop him.

He emphasized that it was a bad message to drop Pakistan’s top batter and pleaded with the management to safeguard its players rather than acting rashly.

Fakhar Zaman has been instructed by the PCB to respond to the notice by October 21.
