ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa has again raised concern over the explanation that eight justices provided about the reserved seats matter.
The clarification states that the Elections Act 2017 modifications cannot override the supreme court’s July 12 ruling on the subject, as The News reported on Sunday.
On Saturday, CJP Isa asked how the eight judges could have released a second clarification without submitting the case’s original file, and he was hoping for an explanation from the relevant department regarding this.
Deputy Registrar Mujahid Mahmood, Assistant Registrar Shahid Habib, and Web Master Asim Javed have all been contacted by him for an explanation.
