According to a spokeswoman for the interior ministry, ten members of the Frontier Constabulary (FC) were killed in a violent terrorist attack on a checkpoint in the Dera Ismail Khan area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday.
The spokesperson explained that late Thursday night, under cover of darkness, terrorists armed with heavy weapons targeted the Zam FC check station in the Darazinda neighborhood of DI Khan.
The FC staff bravely repelled the terrorist attack by fighting back against the assault.
Ten troops, however, gave their life to defend the checkpoint. Four soldiers from the Karak district and six from South Waziristan are among the martyred soldiers.
