Over the course of seven decades, the United States and Pakistan have established a solid cooperation based on common interests in the fields of health, education, energy, economic development, and security. The strong economic relations between the two countries are demonstrated by the 50% increase in US investments in Pakistan over the last 12 months.
This includes our investments in sustainable agriculture and clean energy through the US-Pakistan Green Alliance, in public health through the fight against tuberculosis, in interpersonal relationships, and in conserving Pakistan’s rich cultural legacy.
During his October 22–25 visit to Karachi, Ambassador Donald Blome reaffirmed the US-Pakistan partnership during the closing ceremony of a $350,000 grant from the US Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) to restore the ancient Frere Hall.
