ISLAMABAD: Just seconds after police sources told Geo News on Monday that attorney Imaan Mazari and her husband, Abdul Hadi, had been taken into custody in the federal capital, her mother verified.
According to the sources, the pair was taken into custody in connection with a case against them for interfering with government operations that was filed at the Aabpara Police Station.
Imaan’s mother, Shireen Mazari, a former federal minister, wrote on X that “state fascism” was rampant.
