Sher Afzal Marwat, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has expressed concerns over the potential for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to implement governor’s rule due to Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s involvement in the party’s anti-government demonstrations.
The PTI’s demonstrations for the freedom of the frontline judiciary and the release of its imprisoned founder, Imran Khan, were spearheaded by the KP chief executive. These protests caused chaos in the federal capital and surrounding cities, and the ruling coalition criticized the alleged use of state machinery.
Speaking on the “Geo Pakistan” show on Geo News on Monday, Marwat stated that “[Government] can pave the way for governor rule on the basis of Ali Amin’s protests.”
