On November 15, Ireland’s Taylor will rematch their 2022 lightweight classic against Puerto Rican Serrano, this bout at light-welterweight for the undisputed title.
Those titles were formerly held by Cameron, 33, who will face Patricia Berghult on Saturday to defend her title as WBC interim champion.
According to Cameron, “I am mandatory [a challenger for the WBC title], so whoever wins out of Serrano and Taylor will have to fight me,” he stated on Northampton.In an interview with Sport on Tuesday, Taylor said she did not rule out a trilogy fight with Cameron, who won the first fight in May 2023, after her victory avenged the lone loss of her career.
