RAWALPINDI: Shortly after his release, police detained Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Azam Swati again on Tuesday outside Attock jail.
Early this morning, Swati was taken into custody by Taxila police as soon as he left the jail grounds.
According to authorities, he was taken into custody under the Terrorism Act in connection with 22 egregious accusations that were filed at the Saddar Hasan Abdal and Taxila police stations.
Later, under strict security, police brought Swati before a Rawalpindi anti-terrorism court to request a seven-day physical remand in the case that had been filed at the Taxila police station on October 5.
The court granted the police’s request to place the PTI leader on physical remand for two days.
