Much of the world is going to be on edge following Donald Trump’s victory in Tuesday’s presidential election, which follows a contentious campaign marked by his signature fiery speech.
Four years after losing to current President Joe Biden, Trump returned to office Wednesday morning when the Associated Press news agency declared the election in favor of the former president.
Trump pledged on the campaign trail this time to address a number of domestic concerns, such as inflation and immigration.
Indicating a shift toward increased isolationism and less international cooperation, he also hinted at a return to his “America First” foreign policy.
