Arizona’s Phoenix Arizona is a crucial state in the 2024 US presidential election, with 11 Electoral College votes up for grabs.

Al Jazeera visited three polling places in the Phoenix metropolitan region on Tuesday, Election Day, one in downtown, one in neighboring Mesa, and one in the Buckeye neighborhood, to interview locals about why they were voting.
Their thoughts appeared to be focused on abortion.
“Given how dangerous this election is for many people, I think it’s really important to get out and get involved,” Rebekah Lane said.
