London: According to Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC), which initially filed for the bankruptcy of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s son Hasan Sharif, the case will conclude on April 29, 2025.
Exactly one year after Hasan was declared bankrupt in a case involving personal tax liabilities before the London High Court’s Insolvency and Companies Court at the Rolls Building, the automatic discharge will take effect on April 29 of the following year.
A representative for HMRC stated that there are “confidentiality laws” that prevent it from disclosing specifics of the case, but that it chose to file for bankruptcy after pursuing every alternative throughout the more than three-year-long negotiations.
