Marcus Fakana, an 18-year-old British male, might be sentenced to 20 years in prison in Dubai after having a romantic relationship with a 17-year-old girl while on vacation.
While on vacation with his parents, Fakana met the girl at their hotel and they were romantically involved.
The girl’s parents reported Fakana to the police after they got home and found pictures and messages on her phone.
He asserts that their relationship would be lawful in the UK and that he didn’t know the girl was younger than him at the time.
According to Fakana, he and the girl had a good time together but had to hide their connection from her rigid family.
