KARACHI: To discuss the future of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which will be held in Pakistan in February or March of next year, the International Cricket Council (ICC) organized a board meeting on Tuesday, November 29.
An ICC representative verified that the agenda has been sent to all board members and that the meeting will take place virtually.
Sources claim that the discussion would cover the tournament’s future after India declined to travel to Pakistan for the competition.
The members of the ICC board will be debating whether to postpone the tournament, move the event completely, or use a hybrid approach.
According to several sources, the ICC board is leaning toward using a hybrid model as its main remedy.
