The elephant from Karachi Zoo, Madhubala, has been successfully moved to Safari Park and should be there soon.
At the zoo, a Four Paws team oversaw the transfer procedure to make sure everything went without a hitch.
Madhubala was safely placed in a special container for her voyage on her last day at the Karachi Zoo, where she had lived for 15 years. Due to the death of her longtime friend, Noor Jahan, she will be joining fellow elephants Sonia and Malika at Safari Park.
The transfer truck has arrived, and Madhubala’s condition has much improved, according to Dr. Amir Khalil, Director of Four Paws Pakistan. Following Noor Jahan’s passing on April 22 of last year, Madhubala was left alone.
