Three persons were killed overnight as the current confrontations between the two opposing factions in the Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa raged for the seventh day in a row. The death toll in the violent region now surpassed 100.
According to the police, one of the victims of a shooting event involving cars transporting people in a convoy from Peshawar to Parachinar passed away. In the meantime, the most recent firing episodes resulted in six injuries and two fatalities.
Numerous gun incidents in the district have resulted in 102 fatalities and 138 injuries during the last seven days.
In response to recent events in Kurram, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi remarked that more than 100 people were martyred and categorically denounced the violence.
