The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government is using helicopters to airlift supplies to Kurram due to an acute lack of crucial medicines, including life-saving medications.
Authorities blame the scarcity on a road barrier that has interfered with regular supply routes. Medicines are being delivered urgently using the Chief Minister’s helicopter.
KP Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam announced in a statement to the media that a full ceasefire is currently in place and that things are slowly getting back to normal in Kurram.
Along with the medications, he said, food and other necessities will also be given to Parachinar.
