Even though she was not physically present at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards, Taylor Swift made history on Thursday, December 12.
In a prepared video, the 34-year-old pop artist accepted 10 prizes, boosting her career total to 49 and solidifying her place as the Billboard Music Prize’s all-time top winner.
“I just want to say hi and thank you to the Billboard Awards and the fans because Billboard is counting your stuff—what you listen to, the albums you’re passionate about,” Swift said in her acceptance speech, thanking her followers and the Billboard staff. Because you attend our concerts and care about our records, I consider these to be fan honors.
