In order to attend the 11th Developing Countries (D-8) Summit in Cairo, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif departed for Egypt on Wednesday for a three-day official visit.
The subject of this year’s conference is “Investing in Youth and Supporting SMEs—Shaping Tomorrow’s Economy.”
According to a PM Office press release, the prime minister will emphasize during the summit the value of investing in young people and small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in order to create a robust and inclusive economy built on innovation, job creation, and encouraging local entrepreneurship.
In addition to stressing the value of partnerships for the mutual benefit and development of the participating nations, he will show Pakistan’s strong commitment to cooperation and the implementation of the fundamental principles established by the D-8.
