Ukraine’s security agency has murdered a senior Russian military general and his lieutenant in Moscow.
According to Russia’s Investigative Committee (SK), Lt Gen Igor Kirillov, the commander of the Radiation, Biological and Chemical Defense Forces, was outside a residential block early on Tuesday when a bomb concealed in a scooter was remotely detonated.
Kirillov, according to a source in Ukraine’s SBU security service, was “a legitimate target” and had committed war crimes.
Kirillov, 54, was prosecuted by the SBU in absentia on Monday after he was accused of being “responsible for the mass use of banned chemical weapons” over Telegram.
