Following King Charles’ significant decision to deviate from precedent with this year’s Christmas speech, the royal family has issued a significant statement.
King Charles decided to record his Christmas speech at London’s Fitzrovia Chapel, the first time the venue has changed in almost a decade, and the palace shared a picture of the monarch on Instagram.
This year’s filming of The King’s Christmas Broadcast took place in London’s Fitzrovia Chapel, according to the post.
“What was once Middlesex Hospital’s chapel is now a place for peaceful contemplation, learning, and celebration, bringing together diverse communities of all faiths or none at all.”
The inscription also states that King George VI, His Majesty’s grandfather, lay the building’s foundation stone in 1928.
