Advocate Supreme Court Muhammad Amjad Pervaiz turned down the opportunity to join the Lahore High Court as a judge after LHC Chief Justice Aalia Neelum suggested 21 candidates for the esteemed posts.
The senior attorney stated in an exclusive interview with News that his “busy legal practice” was the reason he had turned down the opportunity to serve as a high court judge.
He mentioned that he had sent a written notice of his decision to the registrar’s office. “I want to devote more time to legal practice,” he stated.
The advocate’s response comes after his name was suggested for the open judicial positions at the Lahore High Court.
The chief justice of the LHC suggested the names of 20 additional attorneys in addition to Pervaiz, including Siddique Awan, Chaudhry Iqbal Ahmed Khan, and Asif Saeed.
